From the Prez…
Hello September! September is a big month for KASZ as it ends our fiscal year and is our Election month.
Also, this Tuesday, we will have Congressman Lloyd Doggett visit and address us. Please plan to come and met the Congressman.
We also ask that you all come to this Labor Day lunch to share what you did in your past work life. I think the Congressman would be delighted to see how “crazy and proud” we seniors are of our working past.
Those who participate will have a chance to win a prize!
If you are having final thoughts for running for any board position, see one of the board members for what the job entails.
Carl and Peggy Gilson have offered to chair the Kyle Founders Parade in October. They can use any help and ideas.
I’m always amazed with the talent brought in with newly joined members. We have been approached by Keito and Kanani St James, who just moved back into Kyle and are offering to teach Hula for Health. They have extensive knowledge and experience with Asian cultural programs. We are exploring this offer.
I want to thank our City Manager, Scott Sellers, for attending our lunch and bringing us up to date on the city projects and our future for the seniors.
Thank you all for your support and attendance. We are looking forward to a great new fiscal year.
TEAM KASZ
