From the Prez…..
Hello KASZ members. Hope all of you are well and enduring. Strange thing…when this pandemic started many had disbeliefs and would ask, “Do you know anyone with the virus?” Most would say, “NO.”  Fast forward 4 months to the present time, we all probably know someone with the virus- and most survive. I have 3 family members in Louisiana with the virus and the older of the 3 is in serious condition. So, let’s join forces as seniors and stay safe by wearing a mask when out and about and practicing social distancing.  This too shall end.  That is all our country is asking.   And don’t forget to call – text -type- FaceTime – Zoom and keep in touch with each other. Please commit to communicate with a KASZ member- it means so much.

I was curious as to how the schools will open etc. and heard a new term called “Schoology” which is the learning management process teachers will use to teach and communicate with parents and students. It will provide mobile learning methods, how tests will be taken and how the student will be held accountable. I bet you retired teachers out there are knocking your heads.

A few tips:

– City of Kyle is offering Kyle Cares Grant Program for Utility Bill Relief

– There will be a Mass Food Distribution Aug 13th near Home Depot

– If you want to run for Mayor or open Councilmen positions you have until Aug 17th

Remember the new acronym: “MEENs”

Don’t touch your:

Mouth

   Ears

       Eyes

           Nose

Finally, our building committee is doing great work. We will soon give you an update report. Another donor has come forward to make a donation.

Stay safe.  Call on us if you need anything.
May God bless us all and get us through this pandemic,
Team KASZ
Larry
